Good day... And a Wonderful Wednesday to you! Well... We get a two day break in the World Cup, with only 8 teams left. Too bad, the U.S. team isn't one of the 'great 8'! But that's what happens when you play the games, eh?

The games people play now... Every night and every day now... Never meaning what they say now... Never saying what they mean...

Yes, Joe South had it completely correct back in the 60's... I was watching a video of an interview with the famous, Jim Rogers, last night. And Jim was talking about the reason why Fed Chairman Big Ben Bernanke fought the 'audit the Fed' bill... And Jim said that Big Ben fought it because, he and the Fed Heads (my description), have spent trillions of dollars on complete junk paper, and he didn't want us (the taxpayers) to know what he had done. Ahhh... The games people play now......

Good day... And a Tub Thumpin' Thursday to you! I was reading my friend David Galland's letter the other day, and learned that he, like me, was dealing with his wife being gone for the week... I think I have an advantage on him though, as he has little ones at home... My little buddy Alex, has been hanging out with his older brother, Andrew, so I've been... All by myself... (what a great song by Nilsson)

OK... Yesterday, I told you how the currency rally had the brakes applied by a return to the European Debt Crisis focus... Yesterday's trading was different though. It was, as if, traders never heard that the U.S. and the IMF were putting together a line of credit for Spain, for they began marking up the euro, and selling dollars, as if it June of 2009! (you may recall that in June, last year, the dollar was on the slippery slope once again)...

Good day... And a Terrific Tuesday to you! Well, it was almost a "perfect ride" to work this morning, as I hit all the green lights until the very end! UGH! See, it doesn't take much to make me happy!

The euro's green light ended last night too, as 'Now It's Spain' (NIS)... As I was packing up to go home yesterday afternoon, the euro had moved beyond 1.24, and I said, 'I wonder what's got the euro so perky this afternoon'... Well, that 'perky' feeling the euro had at that time was wiped out and more by fears that Spain's problems are now going to take center stage... Greece is an afterthought at this point, now it's Spain......

Good day... And a Tub Thumpin' Thursday to you! I don't really have a reason for it to a Tub Thumpin' Thursday, just thought it would be good to get going into the weekend early! I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things here. There's a parking issue that's got me so ticked off right now, but that's not what you came to read about, so... Let's get going!

Well... The rout that was on with the euro continued for most of the morning yesterday, but then suddenly, it stopped, and we saw the currencies & Gold turn around... It was just like I had said the day before, that the euro would probably reach oversold levels, and we could see a mini-rally... And we did!...

Good day... And a Terrific Tuesday to you! The monsoons are coming to the Midwest... I believe I saw the weather report for this area showing rain today and the rest of the week... I should leave my car outside, to get a 'wash'! HA!

Well... During World War II, there was a saying, that, 'loose lips, sink ships'... I think Greek Prime Minister, George Papandreou, should have taken those words to heart yesterday... You see, the currencies, led by the beleaguered euro, were rallying, and the single unit was nearing 1.37, when Papandreou made a statement that sunk the rally's ship... He said that 'Greece's debt problems could soon spread to the rest of Europe and mean a weaker euro'...

Good day... And a Wonderful Wednesday to you! Another All-Star Game, another win for the American League... I truly believed that with Tim Lincecum going for the National League, that we would win this year... But that didn't work out... I did truly enjoy the game though, and got to experience it with sons, Andrew, and Alex, with Darling Daughter Dawn's husband, Jerry... A truly memorable night...

The currencies slowly moved a bit higher yesterday, and the euro is back to 1.40 this morning... The move came as stocks rebounded some, after reports of a better than expected earnings report for Goldman Sachs. Hmmm... Now, doesn't that just tick you off a little? Here's Goldman Sachs who just months ago, changed to a Bank Holding Co, so it could take TARP money, then paid it back a month ago, and now, prints a Moon Shot profitable earnings report... I guess I should be happy for them... Unfortunately, I smell a rat......
